Shipping & Return Policy

Baby Chicks

  • Local Pickup – All customers are welcome to come pick up their baby chicks (or any of the other items) directly from our Good Shepherd East location in Pemberton NJ. To do this just choose local pickup from the shipping options.
  • Mail Delivery – We offer mail shipping of day-old chicks during the spring and fall hatching seasons. Chicks are sent USPS Express on Mondays, Tuesdays, and occasionally Wednesdays to ensure they arrive before the weekend. 
  • Direct Delivery –  To inquire about direct delivery to your farm or home contact us at info@goodshepherdconservancy.org.
  • Baby Chick Returns & Refunds – We will refund the cost of any baby chicks that arrive DOA or die within 48 hours of delivery. You must report your loss within 72 hours of arrival. Photo/video documentation of the deaths may be requested for refund.

Hatching Eggs

  • Shipping & Handling – Hatching eggs are no more than 3-4 days old when shipped. Each egg is carefully candled and only those with small strong air sacks are sent. Eggs are packaged in high-quality custom foam packaging and then double-boxed for safe shipping. These precautions have led to a high level of satisfaction for our hatching eggs customers. We also like to advise buyers that faster shipping tends to improve the fertility rates of shipped eggs.
  • Fulfillment Time Frame– Hatching egg orders are fulfilled on an ongoing basis, if shipping will take more than 1-2 weeks to complete we will let you know. If you want your eggs shipped on a specific week/day please contact us and we will do our best to fulfill your request. 
  •  Hatching Egg Refund Policy
    •  Broken Eggs – We always send a few extra eggs when sending hatching eggs. If any break during shipping and they exceed the extras we send please let us know by sending an email to info@goodshepherdconservancy.org with a picture of the broken eggs within 48 hours of receiving your package. we will refund you the difference.
    • Fertility/Hatch Rates – We do not take responsibility for the fertility or hatch rates customers achieve on our hatching eggs as many factors outside our control can affect this. Though we are committed to our customer’s satisfaction and we will in most circumstances provide partial refunds, store credits, or replacement eggs. 
    • Incidental Crosses – Please note that we house all our breeds on the same farm. As a result, roosters and hens sometimes venture outside their pens and incidental crosses occur on occasion. If your hatch contains crosses or other breeds please send us a picture and we will credit or refund you for those eggs. 
    • Refunds on hatching eggs for any reason other than those mentioned are not promised or guaranteed in any way. Regardless, please always feel free to reach out if you have any questions and we will do our best to assist you. 

Merch

  • Shipping & Handling – We try to send out all merch orders within 5 business days. If we are running behind this schedule we will let you know. 
  • Returns & Refunds –  Merch returned in the same condition it was received can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
